Speed dating ice breaker - new class

A simple ice breaker, ideal for a new class or a class with some new students to help them get to know each other a little and to encourage them to talk to each other. The worksheet explains the task clearly, with lots of simple conversation starters to get students talking.

Student Led form time

The idea behind this presentation is to encourage students to engage more in form time, and to take some ownership over what they do in the mornings whilst encouraging leadership skills. A good introduction with some tips and outlines to structure their sessions. I've previously used this with sixth form tutor groups but it would probably work with KS4 too.

Student Led Form Time - Debates

I've previously used this with sixth form tutor groups, but they'd probably work with KS4 too. This presentation introduces the idea of students leading form time, each leading a different debate, along with a discussion on the purpose of developing debate skills.

Monday Challenges - ice breakers/ form time activities.

I started these with my form class a couple of years ago to get students more active and motivated on a Monday morning! Minimal resources required, and guaranteed to get students having fun and working in teams quickly. There are 6 challenges here which will each last around 15 minutes, with a few silly 'Monday Memes' to put on the board as students come in to your classroom.
